DIVERGE
DESCRIPTION
Diverge is a movement-based audiovisual laser installation by Eric Cheung, Cristian Gonzales, and Jeff Hamada. The project utilizes real-time laser and video projection to manipulate motion-tracking data.
Every day, we face numerous choices, each leading us down a distinct path, ultimately creating divergent realities. Whether significant or trivial, these decisions possess the power to shape and mould the layers of existence in various subtle or profound ways. Reflecting how these monumental distinctions ripple outwards influences how we reflect and shape our identity. We draw a parallel connection between the decision-making process in our lives with movement and the decisions we make in our physiology. How a single move of a joint has the potential to initiate a cascading effect, influencing subsequent movements throughout the entire body to develop choreography
